How to know how long your computer has been running

Hello guys, it's been awhile since my last post, Happy New Year to everyone!

Since today is the first day of work in 2014, I reported to office as early as 8:30am, I noticed one of our computer unit was already ON. So I immediately check the unit if how long it has been turned on, and I found out that it was running for as long as 3 days!. (omg! I forgot for shut it down last December 30, 2013)

To check on how long your computer has been turned on, use the Command Prompt.
(Windows XP)

1 Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt

2 Type systeminfo then hit Enter

(the screenshot I made was after I restarted the Computer so it appeared to System Up Time as
0 days, 4 Hours, 54 Minutes, 35 Seconds )

If your OS in windows 7 you can view on Task Manager, just right click the taskbar and select Start Task Manager or Ctrl + Alt + Del and Click  Start Task Manager

  3. Cool. I learned something new today!

In my laptop, It's called System Boot Time. I also saw when was my OS installed under "Original Installed Date" -> 05/18/2012 and there's a lot of information with this command.

    Interesting share.

    Thanks!
