Historic Gold: Carlos Yulo Shines at Paris 2024 for the Philippines

๐Ÿšจ Congratulations Philippines ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ on your first gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games! ๐Ÿงก

Carlos Yulo has made history as the first Southeast Asian to win gold in men's gymnastics at the Olympics. He scored a 15.000 in the men's floor exercise final, sealing his victory with a flawless dismount.

Silver went to Tokyo 2020 champion Artem Dolgopyat of Israel (14.966), and bronze to Great Britain's Jake Jarman (14.933). This marks the Philippines' first medal in gymnastics and their second Olympic gold ever, following Hidilyn Diaz's weightlifting victory in Tokyo.

Yulo's triumph comes after years of ups and downs, including his 2019 Worlds gold and struggles at the Tokyo Games.
