Marawi Philippines, Under Siege by ISIS?

Alleged ISIS group displayed this flag in one of the apartment in Marawi City, Philippines. According to the latest reports, Five members of the government troops were hurt and wounded during the gun fight. The terrorist group are heavily armed wearing black face-mask and making check points.

The updated report by Inquirer the AFP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla said that people should not believe on the groups propaganda.

“We received reliable info on Hapilon and a number of his cohorts. Updates to follow as the operation is still ongoing. Please do not believe propaganda from other groups,”

Netizens also shared their taken photos on twitter. One of the post said that the terrorist group pointed a gun on them while doing checkpoints.

The Army’s 1st Infantry Division spokesperson, Lt. Col. Jo-Ar Herrera said that the clashes happened in Brgy. Basak Malulut around 2 in the afternoon.

UPDATE:
One policeman was killed and Eight are wounded in a firefight between government forces and the alleged ISIS group. AFP officials also confirmed that it is the Maute Group who is making this kind of terror in the City of Marawi. As of this posting firefight is still continuing.
