27 November 2014 - Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, reportedly will declare a Four-day Holiday during the Papal Visit of Pope Francis in the Philippines - this coming January 15 to 19, 2015. The City Mayor of Manila plans to ask the Pope to “save” the city government from bankruptcy - according to Philstar.com
“I will ask him to save us from bankruptcy.

The mayor ensures that the Pope and the thousand of devotees will be fully secured during those days of His visits in the following venues, Manila Cathedral, the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and the residence of the Papal Nuncio in Manila.
Estrada strongly stated that they are very ready to secure Pope Francis. They have been closely coordinating with both the P.N.P (Philippine National Police) and the military. The local and national level are coordinating the security preparations for this once in a lifetime event.
For those who are involve for the said activity, they said that they are blessed and very happy of being chosen as of the hundreds of volunteers to escort the Pope.
