“Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified location exists and is writable.” :When trying to uninstall a program

To uninstall a program, locate your control panel > "Programs and Features"

 Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

When trying to uninstall a program and suddenly a pop-up window appears with an error message:

“Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified location exists and is writable.”

To fixed this error, follow these steps:

Step 1. Open Task Manager, (press Ctrl + Alt + Del) Click Processes, locate 'explorer.exe' right click 'End Process'

upon executing end process, your task bar will be hidden. 

Step 2. Rerun the explorer.exe

Step 3. Going back to "Programs and Features" and retry to uninstall the program you want, and your done!
