Adobe Attacked by Hackers, 2.9 Million Accounts compromised

Adobe was hacked, almost 3 million accounts were compromised. Last Thursday, October 3, 2013, on their official blog, Adobe announced that there were cyber criminals accessed their system and Customer information were removed by the hackers, like Customer ID, Customer Names, Passwords, Credit Card numbers or  Debit Card numbers, Expiration Dates and other relevant information relating to Customer orders. The officials of Adobe said that they already investigating the indecent and they do believe that hacker failed to removed the decrypted credit or debit card numbers from their system.

Adobe now taking precautionary actions, they are resetting Customer passwords to prevent unauthorized accessed to their system, if any of the Customer is affected by this, the Customer will received an email notification and instructions on how to change their password.

"We also recommend that you change your passwords on any website where you may have used the same user ID and password. ... We are in the process of notifying customers whose credit or debit card information we believe to be involved in the incident." - Brad Arkin, Chief Security Officer, Adobe. 

He also added that if the Customer information is involved, they will receive a notification letter from Adobe with additional information on steps on how the Customer can take to help protect themselves against potential misuse of personal information.

Adobe is also offering customers, whose credit or debit card information was involved, the option of enrolling in a one-year complimentary credit monitoring membership where available.
