How to Password Protect Microsoft Word File Microsoft Office 2010

Putting passwords to a word document will help to prevent other people to view or open the file.

Steps on Setting Password to a Word document

Step 1 Click File > Save As
 

 Step 2 Click Tools > General Options


Step 3 In the General Option window, create a password to open and password to modify.
Tip (choose a password that can be easily remembered)


  Step 4 Confirm Password to open and password to modify.
